CORE BRANDS EXPANDS ITS PRODUCT MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING TEAM

Appointment of three key executives with deep roots in audio and wireless delivery signals a strengthening commitment to new technologies for the CI industry’s leading marketer of audio brands.

PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA, February 11, 2014 — Underscoring the importance of innovation to its present and future audio product development and marketing programs, Core Brands today announced the appointment of three new marketing directors, further strengthening its Audio and Channel Marketing teams.  The appointments, which are effective immediately, were announced by Core Brands Vice President of Products and Marketing Joe Roberts.

Yann Connan is the new Director of Product Management for the Audio Group. Mr. Connan is a senior product marketing executive with deep roots in technology and demonstrated experience in business strategy, product management and marketing.  He comes to Core Brands from Simple TV, a consumer electronics start-up producing a network home media server, and previously held executive roles at PeoplePC, Roxio and Corel, where he successfully managed global businesses spanning the North American, European and Asian markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a Masters from the University of Montreal.

Brett Faulk joins Core Brands as its Executive Director, Strategic Products where he is leading development on the Korus wireless speaker system. His 23 history of successful high-tech experience includes creating and delivering industry-leading new products for companies including DELL and HP, multiple times leading to the creation of new categories. Prior to joining Core Brands, Brett consulted with the company in a role that led to the creation of the first generation of Korus speakers. He is now leading development of the next generation of Korus wireless products.

Randall Logan joins Core Brands as the Director of Channel Marketing, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to support Core Brands’ sales channels, primarily the Custom Installer, CI Distribution, and Retail channels.  Mr. Logan’s career spans over 20 years of sales and channel marketing at top companies including Broderbund, The Learning Company, Roxio and Sonic Solutions. Prior to his new position, he developed and led field marketing behind the successful introduction of the Korus wireless speaker system.

“I am pleased to welcome Yann to the Core Brands team and thrilled that Brett and Randy – who have each made great contributions to Core Brands in a consulting capacity – have both joined us full time,” said Core Brands VP Products and Marketing Joe Roberts. “Audio is one of our major areas of focus in 2014 and Yann’s multi-channel talents in hardware, software and cloud delivery, plus Brett’s strengths in wireless audio, will help us create the audio products of tomorrow. As for channel marketing, Randy’s skills are second-to-none. We look forward to all their contributions.”
