MuxLab‘s HDMI 4K over IP PoE (power over Ethernet) Extender Kit allows HDMI equipment to be extended up to 330 feet up to 4K (3840×2160) resolution at 30Hz via one Cat5e/6 cable in a point-to-point configuration, according to the company.
It adds that point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations are also possible by connecting several units to the same local Ethernet network, and the device supports PoE (PD) if used with a PoE (PSE) Ethernet Switch.
Although the manufacturer is preparing to showcase its 4K AV over IP solutions at CEDIA Expo 2016, it touts typical applications as commercial and residential AV systems; classroom projector systems; digital signage; boardroom systems; collaborative PC systems; and medical information systems.
