The Security Industry Association (SIA) is the leading trade association for electronic and physical security solution providers, with more than 500 member companies worldwide.

The SIA will host a security industry conference called Securing New Ground on October 29-30 at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City. The conference aims to provide security integrators, dealers, and installers with the latest industry intelligence and networking opportunities.

Securing New Ground has been called “the only event that truly provides a sense of the security market—where the opportunities lie and where the ground might shift,” and will provide education sessions such as “The New World of Security: Where CSIOs & CSOs Converge.”

Attendees will learn from the companies impacting the market and hear from industry leaders on topics such as trends, research, investments, and strategies driving business growth and profits. There will also be an opportunity to hear from end users about what they expect from security integration firms.

Speakers will include:

  • Mike Howard, CSO, Microsoft
  • Bret Arsenault, CISO, Microsoft
  • Tim Williams, CSO, Caterpillar
  • Ed Levy, Vice President, MetLife Global Corporate Security
  • Vinay Patel, Director of Global Security Systems, Oracle
  • Ken Damstrom, Managing Director of Global Security, Goldman Sachs
  • Brian Allen, CSO, Time Warner Cable
