The Buzzword Around Stewart Filmscreen is New

Published: 2016-06-07

New, doesn’t always mean new in the world of electronics. For example there are some entities that will sprinkle their magic marketing pixie dust on a solution and call it new. However, when the Torrance, Calif.-based company Stewart Filmscreen says it has new products to announce, dealers can assure themselves the products are legitimately new.

This year new will be the operative word around the company’s 2016 InfoComm booth (#C7425) in Las Vegas. During the show the company will debut a couple of new products, a new screen material, and a new dealer-aid tool to help dealers select the proper Stewart product for any application.

“Stewart Filmscreen is committed to creating new opportunities for our partners by consistently listening to their needs and providing the right solutions for the job,” says Mark Robinson, VP of technology, Stewart Filmscreen. “Stewart Filmscreen has a legacy of delivering the best possible image for the application, but we’re also known for our attention to detail, and our fit and finish is second to none. We simply never compromise.”

Headlining the first of new happenings Stewart is rolling out, the West Coast manufacturer is addressing the digital signage, broadcasting and staging categories with its new FIDELEDY Vision 40 screen material. Describing the material, Stewart says FIDELEDY features a lower transmission level and contrast capabilities that are suited for environments where ambient light is a factor.

The new products include the Torrent Large Venue ElectriScreen and the Stealth XM solutions. Stewart explains the Torrent Large Venue ElectriScreen was developed for installations such as corporate campuses, educational institutions and houses of worship.  The product features a streamlined case and stylish finish that resides at just 9.25 inches tall by 12.5 inches deep. Stewart notes the Torrent Large Venue ElectriScreen incorporates a reinforced roller system and a self-finishing ceiling flange to provide a clean appearance once it is installed. One of the screen’s features dealers will appreciate is its removable dust plate that provides access to its roller system and control connections. Stewart also says that customers will appreciate the screen system’s low-noise, high-torque motor that produces a noise level of just 47dB.  The Torrent is available with any of the company’s screen materials with the exception of the Silver 3D, and Stewart says the product integrates into any third-party control system.

Stewart’s other new product to debut at InfoComm is the Stealth XM. This product adds to the company’s selection of Stealth Trapdoor Series products, and this product is designed to blend into its environment, while delivering large screen sizes. Like the Torrent, dealers can combine the Stealth XM with any of the company’s front- and rear-projection materials, and all of the screen’s functions, including screen operation and control integration are available via an integrated door opening.  Stewart adds dealers can order the Stealth XM in widths up to 14 feet.

In addition to the product related news, Stewart is also debuting its Stewart Standard Solutions.  Designed to streamline the selection of Stewart products for commercial installations, Robinson says the goal of the dealer tool is to simplify their design processes.

“Because not all applications require a fully custom designed screen system, we wanted to make it easier for our customers to quickly specify a Stewart screen,” Robinson comments. “Stewart Standard Solutions encompass our four best selling screen systems in preset sizes and materials, and are easily ordered from a simplified menu. This fills a much-needed niche in our offering and ensures our customers can be as efficient as they are effective.”

Stewart Standard Solutions pulls from products such as the company’s Luxus Deluxe Quick Snap Wallscreen, as well as its ElectriScreens, Luxus Model A Wall Mount, Visionary Slotted Ceiling Recessed and Stealth Trapdoor Ceiling Recessed. It also incorporates a range of Stewart screen materials such as the FireHawk G4 and StudioTek 130 G3, and Stewart adds all of its ElectriScreens are UL or ETL approved to comply with the latest safety standards to meet those requirements.
