A recent Commercial Integrator article on recruitment stemmed from a conversation with Advance Technology‘s Kristina Johnson, who runs an internship program at local colleges, says CI editor Tom LeBlanc.
The ideal students for this type of internship are usually those studying engineering or IT, but none of them seem to know that AV even exists as an industry, let alone a potential career.
Johnson decided to conduct a survey of students, asking what they think AV integration is and if they would be interested in pursuing a career path in the field. Their answers are interesting … and in some cases, amusing.
