An Award-winning Speaker, Integrator, Manufacturer & Engineer/architect Walk Into A Smart Office Panel Discussion…

Published: 2020-04-15

In early March, before the world was catapulted into the urgent need for remote collaboration and a mad scramble to enable businesses and employees to adopt the practice of socially distancing themselves but remain productive, Sharp Electronics Corporation hosted WCD Connected in New York City’s Flagship Microsoft Office store. The nearly 30 attendees in NYC’s Famous Fifth Avenue location were joined by attendees in Amsterdam, Madrid and Seattle, live streamed via Sharp’s Windows collaboration display, just launched and now shipping.

A speaker from each country was given time to present perspectives on collaboration and working with this latest technology, with points that addressed the psychology and science of the smart office and how room analytics such as occupancy, temperature, light and air quality and the Internet of Things (IoT) can make offices everywhere smarter and more productive.

At the conclusion of the presentations from around the world, each location broke off into a more focused and personal discussion surrounding the Smart Office of the Future. In NYC, a panel of experts were assembled to address pre-determined questions focused on products that make the workspace smarter, what data can do to drive decisions on usage of office space and why that is important, and what the future will bring in 10 or 20 years in the workspace.

Listen in as Gary Kayye, award winning keynote speaker and Director at the rAVe Agency, Mark Peterson, Principal and Shen Milsom & Wilke, Miguel Vasquez, Regional Sales Manager at AVI-SPL and Christopher Parker, Senior product Manager for Sharp Electronics, Europe answer questions posed to them by host Mehryn Corrigan, Associate Director – Alliance Partner Marketing for Sharp Imaging & Information Company of America.

FEATURED REPORT

The panel answers questions on the benefits of gathering data from sensors in meeting rooms and how integrators and their customers can use that data to make smart decisions about meeting room utilization. They also address the driving factors contributing to the technology changes affecting office dynamics, the office, 10 or 20 years in the future and how changes will affect how we work and collaborate in the office space. Are there current challenges right now to embracing and adopting IoT Solutions and how should those challenges be addressed?

It’s an insightful and thought-provoking panel, and we’re delighted to share the recording with you.
