The big news, of course, is the new InFocus 55-inch Mondopad. But there is a steady stream of new solutions in InFocus’s ISE 2018 stand, including streaming solutions — Jupiter Streampoint streaming encoders – and a new lineup of laser projectors
Let’s start with the laser projectors.
The five new laser projectors provide exceptional, bright images for any installation ranging from large venue to ultra-short throw, according to press release by the manufacturer.
For large venue installations such as auditoriums, lecture halls, and houses of worship, the INL5350 Series has two models — the 6,000-lumen INL5359 and the 8,000-lumen INL5369. Using InFocus Quantum Color Laser technology, both INL5350 Series projectors create brilliant images with a wide color gamut and saturated RGB colors to provide cinema-quality performance even with a long throw distance for images of up to 300 inches across, and environments with high-ambient light.
The INL5350 Series provides installers with incredible flexibility thanks to its six interchangeable lenses that can project images at any size from any location, whether short throw or ultra-long throw. The INL5350 Series offers a variety of connectivity options including all the expected inputs and outputs such as VGA, HDMI, 5BNC, DVD-D, Video, RCA Audio, 3D Sync, RS232, as well as HDBaseT for single cable connectivity.
The new INL140 Series from InFocus is designed for the international education market. Combining ultra-short throw capability with high brightness and laser performance that never fades, the INL140 Series offers 22,000:1 contrast ratio for darker blacks and whiter whites, utilizing InFocus Quantum Color Laser technology. The INL140 Series includes three models: INL148HDUST featuring 1080p resolution, 4,000 lumens, and 0.25 throw ratio; INL146UST featuring WXGA resolution, 4,000 lumens, and 0.27 throw ratio; INL144UST featuring XGA resolution, 3,600 lumens, and 0.33 throw ratio.
InFocus’s new ultra-short throw projectors utilize a small chassis while providing an image of up to 100-inches from only a few inches from the screen. Ideal for interactive solutions and group presentations, these ultra-short throw projectors remove any possibility of presenters blocking the image or creating shadows. The INL140 Series enhances classroom education with full 3D capability, HDMI inputs, and powerful 16W built-in speakers for immersive lessons and presentations.
The INL5350 Series will be available worldwide, and the INL140 Series will be exclusively available in the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions to start. Both series are on display at ISE 2018 in stand 2-B60 and will ship in Q2 of 2018. Specific model ship dates and pricing will be announced closer to availability.
InFocus 55-inch Mondopad INF5522AG
InFocus has added to its Mondopad family of touch-enabled collaboration displays, with the 55-inch Mondopad INF5522AG. The 55-inch Mondopad is an all-in-one collaboration system that supports HD video conferencing, interactive whiteboarding, web browsing, data sharing, presenting, document annotation, and wireless casting, according to a press release.
“Adding Total Touch Control and Android applications makes the new 55-inch model well-suited to a wide variety of installations for presentations in a conference room, video calls in an executive office, collaborative teamwork in huddle spaces, or immersive learning in a classroom,” says InFocus’s Brady O. Bruce.
The 55-inch Mondopad features Total Touch Control, an intuitive system management interface that eliminates the need for a remote or buttons. Users can simply touch on-screen icons to switch between sources, or to access the home screen, all applications, and control functions. In addition, the 55-inch Mondopad allows for true annotation over any input. Content from the built-in PC, an external PC or tablet connected via wireless casting, HDMI or VGA connections, can be frozen on the screen, annotated over, and then saved as a screen capture to internal storage or an external USB drive.
The 55-inch, 1080p, anti-glare touch display is easy to use with edge-to-edge multi-touch supporting 10-point gestures. The Mondopad INF5522AG is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with fast 256GB solid state drive, includes Windows 10, a full version of Microsoft Office, and features built-in Android 5.0 applications including Quick Whiteboard, Quick Casting, and Quick File Viewer for fast access to the most commonly used tools.
“Mondopad was the first touch-enabled, all-in-one collaboration system, and we continue to innovate based on customer input and our years of experience,” says Brady O. Bruce, InFocus CMO.
“It’s a powerful and productive solution for schools, businesses, and public agencies. We’re inspired by our users and the incredibly creative ways they use it. Adding Total Touch Control and Android applications makes the new 55-inch model well-suited to a wide variety of installations for presentations in a conference room, video calls in an executive office, collaborative teamwork in huddle spaces, or immersive learning in a classroom.”
The 55-inch Mondopad INF5522AG debuts at ISE 2018, and is now available in the U.S. through InFocus resellers and directly from the manufacturer here for $6,899 U.S. MSRP and includes a one-year warranty as well as one-year SIP Video Calling and ConX Cloud video conferencing subscriptions.
