Bright Futures Ahead for Cellphone Booster Manufacturers

Manufacturers state the FCC’s spectrum auction won’t impact the continued reliance upon their products that enhance cellular network signals.

What is the Future of a Cellphone Booster?

With more users adopting cellphone devices for connectivity, the cellular industry is in the midst of expansion.

One segment that stands to capitalize is the signal of a cellphone booster.

However, it’s important to note the impact of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) spectrum sale on long-term cellphone signal booster growth, as well as public’s limited awareness of both the FCC auction and the signal booster products and technologies themselves.

Earlier this spring the FCC began its spectrum auction. Accepting applications from broadcast stations as far back as December 2015, the goal of the government’s spectrum reallocation is to ensure the reliability of wireless technologies.

The government agency says there are more connected devices than U.S. citizens. About 70 percent of Americans are using “data-hungry smartphones.”

Integrators can likely expect more commercial opportunities to emerge from the increasing BYOD (bring your own device) trend.
