Wow Your Audience with a Custom Projection Screen

With the need to accommodate higher-resolution projectors, Infocomm has adopted new screen standards.

The type of content displayed by projectors has advanced from the typical text on a plain background to include video and high-resolution imagery. Larger screens — at least 16% bigger — are recommended in a new standard called DISCAS (Display Image Size for 2D Content in Audiovisual Systems).

Our free download, “Choosing A Custom Projection Screen,” covers what you need to consider when planning, including:

  • Size
  • Shape
  • Placement
  • Type of projector
  • Material
  • Color
  • Perforation

Keep in mind that specialty screen should not be chosen the same way home theater screens are. Custom screens often are part of the show design and contribute to the overall atmosphere.
