In a great example of integrator-manufacturer collaboration, Avinext and PDS constructed a 10×5 video wall with mounts that created a seamless experience at Texas A&M AgriLife Center.

When Aggies fans, students, alumni and faculty gather at Texas A&M AgriLife Center, they don’t likely give much thought to how the 10×5 video wall was engineered.

Nor should they.

College Station, Texas-based integration firm Avinext, along with help from manufacturing partner Premier Dedicated Solutions (PDS), shouldered those concerns as they created the Samsung direct-view LED video wall for AgriLife Center.

Through a great example of integrator-manufacturer collaboration, Avinext and PDS constructed a 10×5 video wall with mounts that created a seamless experience, 19.62 lbs. panels, 2.5 mm pixel pitch, 24-inch extension, and rear serviceable 480 mm x 540 mm LED cabinets.

The video wall is now the focal point of the Texas A&M AgriLife Center, informing and entertaining students, alums and teachers at events and tailgates.

The space, however, doesn’t come without its challenges. It’s a “beautiful atrium,” says Avinext lead AV designer Aaron Amador, adding that it’s large, has hard surfaces and lots of ambient light.

“The mount is designed to fit those exact panels. So when they go together there are no seams,” says Aaron Amador, Avinext.

While it’s great for large groups, there are inherent video challenges. As such, the mounting of it had to be seamless and perfect.

“It was very important for the video wall that we put in the AgriLife Center to blend in with the aesthetics of the building itself,” says Robert Apt, sales consultant, Avinext.

“It would not be overbearing, but actually add to the beauty of the building.”

PDS worked closely with Avinext from design to installation. Amador says PDS created a custom solution just for this specific application.

“The mount is designed to fit those exact panels. So when they go together there are no seams. Having someone who can design a mount that’s so precise to match the panels is really important and Premier helped us do that,” he says.

Not only that, Apt says, “Premier did the drawings for us. Premier came down and project managed the installation of this video wall. They even helped with the installation of the panels to make sure that it was a seamless fit.”
