Wyrestorm CAB-HAOC-20 and CAB-HAOC-30, its new line of active optical HDMI cables, boast the latest optical transmission technology for uncompressed full bandwidth 4K UHD with HDR content.
That’s according to a press release by the AV signal management specialist.
The Wyrestorm CAB-HAOC-20 and CAB-HAOC-30 represents a step up from its standard copper HDMI cables as found in its Express line, according to the company.
They add that the new HDMI cables enable the uncompressed transmission of 18 Gbps HDMI content up to 20m/65ft or 30m/98ft respectably, supporting full bandwidth 4K/60Hz at 4:4:4 8-bit and HDR content 12-bit at 4:2:2 with HDCP 2.2 ensuring compatibility with the absolute latest 4K UHD content.
WyreStorm Shoots for a Better Installation Experience
Both the 20-meter and 30-meter lengths are shipped ready-spooled to make installation easier. In the press release, WyreStorm explains other installation benefits:
The 20mm cable head width allows it easily fed through conduits, while the solid alloy head construction and gold-plated connectors all add up to perfect device connection, as part of a WyreStorm 4K UHD extender, matrix switcher or splitter distribution or in any environment where copper transmission would be susceptible to electromagnetic or radio frequency interference.
WyreStorm has even color-coded and labeled each end of the cable to make it easier to install, with space on connectors to write source or zone details for improved cable management and add a personal touch to any installation.
