The newly launched tvONE Active Fiber Optic Cables provide integrators a choice of long-range DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 cabling solutions.
According to tvONE, its latest cabling products deliver a simple way to extend DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 signals over long distances without compromising image quality.
“Extending extremely high resolutions such as 8K is a major challenge,” notes Mark Armon, global product manager, tvONE. “And to be able to use a simple, non-powered cable is the easiest solution.”

The DisplayPort 1.4 active cable (MG-AOC-88x) line and HDMI 2.0 active optical cables (MG-AOC-66x) are plug-and-play solutions.

The company says the cables are capable of delivering AV signals as far as 328 feet (100 meters) without the need for external power. tvONE explains the HDMI 2.0 active optical cables support resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
The DisplayPort 1.4 active optical cables support resolutions as high as 8K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
tvONE also points out that it offers both active fiber-optic cable lines in non-plenum and plenum versions in a choice of 10 different lengths from 10 meters to 100 meters.
