“You Are Here” signs gain infinite more possibilities when put to digital signage, and Visix is working on as many solutions as possible. The company showed how maps for universities, hospitals and such could be put to greater use with interactivity. When passersby touches a particular area on the map, for instance, the screen shows more information. Further still, Visix was talking about using screen space for QR tags and polls that could then lead people back to the web, for example, to collect coupons for use at the campus bookstore. Those items also could provide the client metrics for what people are reading most on such signage.
