Key Digital Compass Control: Woman wearing a tablet hat, not withstanding, Key Digital showed some serious products at CEDIA Expo 2012. “Thousands of units have shipped,” says Key Digital CEO Mike Tsinberg, of the Company Control, an affordable Apple iOS-based system in which integrators sell a controlled (KD-MC2500 with an MSRP of $2,500) and individual licenses ($300 MSRP) for each interface (iPhone or iPad) in the home. Integrators configure the system using the PC Editor and PC Navigator software and Key Digital has created several attractive free templates for dealers to use (along with integrators being able to completely customize the GUI if they want.) All of the design and engineering are done in-house, which Tsinberg says is a major advantage because the company can integrate all its products more easily.
