Just Add Power

It all goes back to my days at IBM where I got tired of everyone telling customers ‘that’s not supported’ when the customer said they wanted to do something that was not in the sales manual. I argued that we should listen to the customers and be willing to give them a complete solution that would be profitable for our business and make the customer happy as well.

Instead of saying ‘that’s not supported’ we should say ‘sure, we will put together the complete system you want and make it work, all you have to do is “just add power”‘ and then give them a price.
