According to Mersive, Solstice has quickly become the standard for collaborative learning among the U.S.’s top institutions for higher education, and in 2017 Mersive will look expand its success in international education markets.

Solstice’s ability to drive up student engagement, facilitate student-to-student and student-to-faculty collaboration, and increase knowledge transfer in the classroom have propelled its rapid adoption in top U.S. universities, according to Mersive.

Solstice enables any number of students and faculty to simultaneously connect, share, and control content on a large-format classroom display from laptops and mobile devices. With Solstice, anyone can walk into a classroom or meeting space and instantly create a collaboration session, allowing ideas to flow freely and new insights to emerge.

Designed with the education use-case in mind, Solstice’s moderator mode allows faculty to control and lead a session while maintaining the ability for students to contribute and participate.

Solstice has been deployed in thousands of classrooms and study spaces across the globe, most of which fall within U.S. universities, including the University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, and the University of Michigan, among others.

According to Mersive CEO Rob Balgley, the company’s success in the education market is based on Solstice’s ability to meet the needs of faculty and students as well as the requirements of IT administrators responsible for deploying and managing the solution.

Beyond flexible network deployment configurations and robust security features, the Solstice Dashboard support centralized control, management, and room-usage analytics for all the Solstice displays on the campus network.

After the rapid adoption and growth of Mersive’s U.S.-based higher education customers in 2015 and 2016, the company will look to increase penetration in global education markets in 2017.

To do so, Mersive has grown its international channel partnerships to include top AV distributors across Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and the Middle East.

Mersive will also attend Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the largest Audio/Video and systems integrations event in the world, for the first time February 7- 10, 2017. ISE will provide Mersive’s European partners and customers the opportunity to see firsthand how Solstice transforms ordinary displays into accessible, shared resources for collaboration.
