Sony LaserLite Projector

Sony expands its range of laser light source projectors with two new LaserLite models, a WUXGA, and WXGA model.

The new LaserLite projector boasts benefits of laser technology, including image quality, color reproduction and virtually no maintenance needed. The fixed wide zoom lens models have a total constant brightness of 4,500 lumens for up to 12,000 hours. As a virtue of its laser light source, the projector is lampless with no heat up or cool down periods, no lamp to limit tilt angle and no trade-off between brightness and resolution.

The LaserLite projector features Sony’s BrightEra 3LCD panel technology, as well as “Reality Creation” – a technology used by Sony’s home theater projection systems. Each model has a compact blend-in slim design, with a weight of 19 lbs, and each measures 20-inches by 4.4-inches by 14-inches, making them about 50 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than the Sony’s existing FHZ/FWZ laser models.

The projectors will be available by the end of Summer 2017, with the WUXGA model estimated at $3,000 and the WXGA model estimated at $2,200.
