Planar, the Portland, Ore.-based video systems manufacturer, provides the commercial market with a wide range of display solutions that meet the needs of a variety of industries.
Adding to its line of UltraRes display products, the West Coast manufacturer has announced its new UltraRes 98-inch Touch LCD display.
Planar says its latest product is a 4K solution (3,840 x 2,160) unit that provides users with a 4K display that incorporates 32 simultaneous touch points and the ability to serve dealers in roles including digital signage, corporate boardrooms and meeting room installations.
“Planar has been first to market with a variety of new 4K display solutions, and the Planar UltraRes 98-inch Touch represents another industry milestone,” says Becky Connors, product marketing manager at Planar Systems. “With its multitouch support, enhanced durability and sleek design, the display sets the bar for interactive commercial experiences, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to offering the best in 4K technology.”
In addition to its UltraHD and touchpoint capabilities, the UltraRes 98-inch display also incorporates Planar’s Extended Ruggedness and Optics (ERO) optical bonding technology that it says helps to safeguard the product and prolong its reliability in widely used environments.
Other features include the company’s latest industrial designs that are highlighted by its logo-free, narrow bezel design, and its energy-efficient operation, which is highlighted by its consumption of less than a half watt of energy when it sits in standby mode.
