One thing we rarely have to worry about when we ask Commercial Integrator readers for their opinions is honesty—and that quality is something that I’ve appreciated since I started working here almost nine years ago.

Whether we ask for your opinions or not, you haven’t been shy about giving them and that feedback—whether you know it or not—has been used to shape the future direction of our editorial coverage and the decisions we make as a staff.

We hope the companies who emerge as your favorites in the 2019 Quest for Quality survey use your feedback the same way. If you’ve already taken the survey, you know the questions in no way lead you to particular manufacturers or distributors since it’s on you to fill in the blanks yourselves.

We’re expecting the companies who don’t emerge as the winners to be a bit disappointed about not being the first ones you think about in various topics, but we hope it also provides them with some incentive to work harder in the next 12 months to a better job meeting your needs.

In that way, the 2019 Quest for Quality survey will be a nice feather in the cap of the companies you say are the best—and a piece of constructive criticism for those who fall short. We hope everyone understands only one company can be the best and all others need to keep working to achieve that.

  • social media presence

Finally, we hope you’ll expand on your answers a bit and tell us about instances when providers (either AV manufacturers and/or AV distributors) demonstrated superior quality service.

We especially want to know the qualities they exhibited to set them apart.
