Stewart Filmscreen 16K
Reinforcing its reputation as a top-level manufacturer, the Calif.-based company is educating dealers on the manufacturing processes it uses to meet government and military work through its 16K initiative. This no nonsense education program explains how the company’s screens are designed to meet resolution requirements well beyond 4K to deliver resolutions up to 16K. The screens meet this high number through a requirement that results in its screens measuring six line pairs (one line each of black and white) per millimeter of resolution. Stewart says the math for this equates to a 120-inch screen delivering the capability to display more than 18,000 pixel addresses (3,048mm x 6 lines).
