InfoComm 2016 Must See: Dataton’s 3D Mapping with WATCHOUT Software

Published: 2016-06-09

At this year’s InfoComm show, Dataton and partner Show Sage are demoing 3D mapping with WATCHOUT multi-display software and virtual displays at booth #N547.

Marty Karp, director of marketing & business development at Dataton, took the time to talk to CI about what the company has going on at InfoComm 2016.

If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm booth, what should it be?

It’s 3D projection mapping with the simplicity of WATCHOUT commands and workflow at no incremental cost.

What if we have time to see one more thing?

Virtual displays: create displays of any shape or resolution onscreen then map pixels to real display outputs, such as LED walls. Use virtual displays for maximum flexibility, generating and mapping textures onto 3D objects.

What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm booth?

The evolution of WATCHOUT has answered the demand for new features and capabilities pertinent to today’s video designer in a familiar programming format, and without the need for high-priced proprietary hardware.

Dataton continues to invest heavily in industry-leading software development that will enhance WATCHOUT’s relevance for many years to come, and is the defacto standard in multi-display production and playback.

Show Sage is Dataton’s North American Premium Partner and distributor, providing customers with all aspects of WATCHOUT system sales, support, and training. Together, Dataton and Show Sage provide a complete multi-channel solution to the AV industry.
