Now that the home theater/multimedia room market is recovering and growing once again, it is a perfect time for the California-based video screen company Elite Screens to respond to client requests.

Elite Screens recently announced it is offering multiple versions of its Saker projection screen, addressing the diversified requirements of the video install market.

The screen product is available with either a tensioned or fiberglass-backed material, as well as other options to serve dealers in a variety of installation scenarios.

Dave Rodgers, marketing manager for Elite Screens, notes the choices the company now offers supports dealers’ sales efforts.

“A nice design is essential and the Saker definitely accomplishes that,” he says. “We offer two quality materials that focus on superb flatness and our customers have varied preferences as to whether this is best achieved with an ‘FG’ [fiberglass] backing or with side tension cords. For this reason it was essential to give our customers a choice.”

The Saker products feature streamlined arcuate-profiled casings, synchronous motors and IR/RF capabilities that control the products’ ability to reliably drop down and raise up.

Internally, the company offers dealers the choice of its 1.1-gain MaxWhite FG material, which is fiberglass-backed to aid its flatness. Bolstering the performance of the fiberglass-backed screen, the product also employs mating on all sides to aid its contrast capabilities. Elite points out the material is also GREENGUARD Gold (UL 2818) certified for indoor air quality and compliant with the NFPA’s 701 fire retardant standards.

The tensioned version incorporates the company’s CineWhite PVC material that also features a gain of 1.1. This version of the screen utilizes black backing and masking and, depending on the screen size, Elite states the products have top borders of 20 to 30 inches for high-ceiling installations.

Elite says the screens are available in a choice of sizes, and it offers the products in either a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio to address residential and commercial installations.
