Matrox showcased its new Maevex 6100 range of PCIe cards at this year’s InfoComm show, along with the Mura IPX 4K IP decode and display card.

The Maevex 6100 PCIe cards have 4 HDMI connectors, allowing it to capture 4K per input.  Unlike proprietary-over-IP products which lock you into single-vendor, the Maevex 6100 Series is designed for maximum interoperability with third-party hardware and software.

Maevex 6100 can also be used as a direct substitute for many high-bitrate, low-latency quality 4:4:4 extension and switching products or vendor-proprietary IP-based products but in much less bandwidth.

“The Maevex 6100, just like all other Matrox encoders and decoder products, supports all types of color spaces,” says Fadhl Al-Bayaty, product manager for Matrox.

Matrox also introduced its newest addition to the Mura IPX lineup, the Mura IPX 4K IP decode and display card.

“It is a single slot card that you can put into a system and it has four 4K outputs.  The network jack is on the card so you can effectively separate your AV network from your data network,” says Al-Bayaty.
