Embrace the Experience

Published: 2024-03-14

The E4 Experience, powered by Exertis Almo, is back in full effect for 2024 this spring. The kickoff took place earlier this month in Washington, D.C. Each year, these regional #E4Experience events get better and better, bringing tremendous value right to your backyard. In D.C., there were three immersive demos focused on AI, XR headsets and drones, alongside 40-plus exhibitors previewing the newest AV products and services. Plus, there was a new lineup of 10 business and technical sessions, all of them CTS-certified by AVIXA.

The E4 Experience is already well established in our industry and, notably, is free. What’s more, last year, the Exertis Almo E4 Experience received a Commercial Integrator BEST Award and a Quest for Quality award. No wonder integrators, consultants and end users are checking out this one-day traveling education, training and product showcase.

The Power of the Experience

I’ve been evangelizing about the power of the E4 Experience since 2016. It was one of the first AV events I ever went to. The value of learning, paired with networking opportunities, made a real difference for me; it has opened doors for many others and for me. “The beauty of the E4 Experience is that it comes directly to local-area integrators, so they don’t have to travel and take extended time away from their projects,” Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing and communications at Exertis Almo, says. “Instead, they can bring clients to a beautiful showroom filled with new, interactive technology and engage with sales engineers to ask questions and take the next step.” She continues, “Integrators tell us that the E4 Experience has [directly resulted in] new business relationships and new ideas for growth and profitability. They leave charged up and ready to jump back in with a fresh perspective.”

The E4 Experience also comes with a major focus on education. The content track takes place throughout the day and brings yet more value to the event. “If attendees are looking to earn AVIXA CTS renewal units to maintain their status — or if they just want to learn about the latest industry trends and technology — they can partake in a full day of sessions that become more technical from morning to afternoon,” Craigmyle states. “Immersive demos, including a Microsoft Teams Room Experience Center, XR solutions with the newest PICO headsets and even a live drone simulation, are also available, along with a few additional surprises.” Each session at the event is worth 1 RU for CTS holders.

A Major Highlight

One of the major highlights for me at the show has always been Gary Kayye’s keynote. This year, he is setting the stage with “Nine Cool New Products and Four Cool New Technologies that Will Change AV Forever.” Industry expert Tom Kehr will host his training on modern meeting design, which continues to be a hit with E4 Experience attendees. I’m also excited about an addition to the training lineup: “Hybrid Harmony: A Comprehensive Guide to Audio and Video Tools for All Work Scenarios,” led by Sharath Abraham. This is especially vital since the hybrid debate has shown no signs of slowing down.

On top of all the great training, the 2024 iteration of the E4 Experience also includes new live demos. There will be a Microsoft Teams Room Experience Center available for the first time at E4 Experience events. Attendees can participate in a live, AI-enabled experience that showcases how technology is revolutionizing the way professionals work, communicate and collaborate. There is an XR component, as well. Attendees will have the opportunity to try out XR headsets from Exertis Almo’s newest partner, PICO Business, to inspire new use cases.

The healthcare demo gives the experience of meditation and stretching to enhance well-being and relaxation in a virtual environment. The corporate demo highlights how employees can engage in immersive simulations that enhance communication, leadership and teamwork for a dynamic experience.

It’s Drone Time!

Last, but not least, are the drone solutions! These have been one of my favorites from the last few stops of the E4 Experience. But, this time, the team is doing live demos that take place in an outdoor location in Phoenix to showcase the command-and-control features of the drone. This demo will be shown on an Absen videowall from the E4 Experience show floor.

This is one jam-packed event that you don’t want to miss. If you aren’t able to attend the E4 Experience event in Chicago next month, just gear up to be in attendance this fall. On September 10, the show is coming to Boston. And then, on October 8, we’ll be closing out the season in Anaheim, Calif. To register for any of the 2024 E4 Experiences, go to E4Experience.com.

I want to see you all there, as we continue the journey of perfecting our craft.
