Salesforce Introduces Work.com To Help Economy Reopen Safely

Published: 2020-05-06

AV integrators that already work with Salesforce should consider this new offering, especially since a lot of audiovisual work depends on businesses being open.

Salesforce has launched Work.com, a new family of technology solutions designed to help businesses and communities safely return to work and reopen.

The new solutions are intended to help accelerate the response to COVID-19 in both public and private sectors by offering solutions like employee wellness assessment, shift management, contact tracing, emergency response management, grant management and volunteer management.

Salesforce says the Work.com Command Center brings those data streams together to present a load of information to organizations so they can make informed decisions on a return to normalcy.

The new suite of offerings harnesses the expertise of health experts, business leaders and the Salesforce ecosystem in a resource center informed by the Business Roundtable and University of California San Francisco, bringing insights, best practices and recovery stories from experts and Salesforce’s partner ecosystem.

The company says contact tracing will allow leaders to manually trace health and relationship contacts “in a safe and private manner” by collecting data from people infected or possibly exposed to an infectious disease. Visual maps of contacts and locations to monitor interactions and outbreak can be created.

Other products in the Work.com offerings help evaluate an organization’s readiness to return to work and help users plan accordingly.

The company also previously launched Salesforce Care, a suite of solutions free for 90 days designed to help businesses stabilize during the initial phase of the pandemic.  With the situation improving and some parts of the economy reopening, the company is transitioning to recovery.

That recovery includes staying compliant with local and federal guidelines, monitoring workforce readiness, facilities preparedness and emergency management response.

“Every company and community in the world is focusing on how to safely reopen and get to a new normal,” Salesforce President and COO Bret Taylor said in a statement. “With Work.com, we’re bringing together powerful new technology, our partners and network of experts to help organizations reopen and recover from this crisis while putting employee and visitor health and safety first.”

These solutions will be available starting later this month and in June. For more information on pricing and availability, visit Salesforce’s website.
