Published: 2024-02-26

Clockaudio announced the passing of beloved founder, leader, mentor and managing director, Jim Hallington. Hallington passed away at his home in Waterlooville Hampshire U.K. on Feb. 20, 2024, at the age of 92. Over the last few years, Hallington took a step back from the business after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, leaving Clockaudio in the capable hands of his wife and soulmate, Tina, says Clockaudio.

Hallington leaves behind a legacy of determination, passion, courage and commitment that were truly the building blocks for Clockaudio and will continue to be the company’s foundation for years to come, says the company.

Over his illustrious and incredibly successful career, Hallington took the AV world by storm when he incorporated Clockaudio Ltd in 1994 at the age of 62. Since then, the audio manufacturer has continued to grow steadily and now covers a global footprint.

“[Hallington] was a pioneer and an inspiration to us all,” says Clockaudio in a statement. He was “a great man who will be truly missed, and never forgotten.”
