Private investment acquisition of Pro Media helps the company continue its 43-year legacy in sports, entertainment, corporate and transportation.

Pro Media Audio & Video founder Andrew Serb and a group of private partners has acquired the company he started 43 years ago from Panasonic North America.

Serb led a group comprised of senior staff members in the deal that was finalized March 1.

The new ownership “will leverage the company’s core talent of industry veterans to expand on its 43 years of expertise engineering innovative audiovisual solutions for the sports, live entertainment district, performing arts, corporate and transportation markets,” according to the announcement.

Pro Media has lasted more than four decades “by applying creative, passionate attention to detail in high-end audio, video and multimedia integrations,” according to the announcement.

The company’s legacy “is steeped in live sound production, where the most discerning standards for quality are required,” the announcement says. Pro Media has also diversified its offerings with IPTV, digital signage and enterprise network integration.

“Our 43-year history designing, integrating, installing and operating world-class audio and video systems has given us a mastery of the technical and practical nuances required to create outstanding technology experiences,” said Pro Media GM Ted Leamy in the announcement.

“With this new phase of Pro Media, we’re excited to expand on the surge in growth we’ve sustained over the past decade, exceeding the expectations of our clients every step of every project – large or small. We will continue to create the environments that our clients envision to deliver the ultimate audience experience,” he said.
