The biggest news out of Maxell Projectors (formerly Hitachi) is that the company has rebranded. While the official change will come in October, the company explained the reason for the change at InfoComm. In reality, Maxell has manufactured all Hitachi projectors for the past five years – the name change reflects that, allowing Hitachi to focus on social innovation like IoT, robotics, and the cloud. Hitachi programs, pricing, staff, and warrantees remain the same, and the company will honor any warrantees from before the change.
