Commercial Integrator: What are you most looking forward to at InfoComm 2024? What can attendees gain from visiting BZBGEAR’s booth?
BZBGEAR: InfoComm 2024 will be our third InfoComm event and we always have great experiences when this show rolls around every June. When we first attended InfoComm back in 2022, we got the “Who are you?” questions. Now when we exhibit at shows, it’s mighty rewarding having people visit and say “BZBGEAR! I’ve heard of you. What’s new this year?”
We’ve built wonderful relationships at these InfoComm events, so we’re definitely looking forward to catching up with old faces. But we’re really excited about networking with new ones as well and exchanging ideas and stories with our fellow AV gearheads.

Commercial Integrator: What are BZBGEAR’s plans for the year ahead with regard to software and hardware?
BZBGEAR: Last year, we made waves by unveiling our 8K product line for video distribution and active cabling. Hitting the ground running, our HDMI 2.1 matrix switcher (BG-8K-88MA) won the TNT Awards at Integrated Systems Europe 2023, and our HDMI 2.1 test pattern generator (BG-AVTPG-MINI-G2) received recognition as the Best of CIX 2023.
We’ve also aligned ourselves with the 8K Association to show our commitment to the 8K movement. The goal with our 8K solutions is to provide customers the highest quality standards while future proofing their projects and systems.
Our 8K lineup includes HDMI 2.1 matrix switchers, signal splitters, amplifiers, testers, and specialty cables — all supporting 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz. These resolutions ensure impeccable detail and fluidity for users and gamers.
This year, we’ve taken even larger steps — producing a new 8K tester (BG-AVTPG-8K) along with an 8K fiber extender (BG-EXH-8KF) and the aforementioned 8K 12×12 matrix switcher (BG-8K-1212MA) that will be a first in the market. We’re also working on a videowall processor and multiviewer that will support 8K. Although, I’ve got to say, the biggest news is our mission to develop an 8K PTZ camera in the very near future!
But our advancements are not just reserved for our hardware solutions. We are continually enhancing our software and control apps for our PTZ cameras, matrix switchers and AV-over-IP units. The first half of 2024 has been productive and we’re eager to finish the second half even stronger.
