This exclusive interview with Rob Moodey of Matrox Video touches on the company’s noteworthy InfoComm 2024 plans. Moodey is, of course, manager, strategic partnerships, with Matrox Video. The big show is scheduled for June 12 to 14.
Moodey starts the conversation with the IP story, saying that network-based approaches are becoming ubiquitous, but there are also issues to contend with. According to Moodey, “There are a lot of different IP standards. We’ve all got our favorite. It’s NDI…it’s SRT…it’s HEVC…it’s H.264. And, of course, we’ve talked before about IMPX.”
Matrox Video Previewing Vion AVoIP Gateway at InfoComm
According to Moodey, what the industry really needs is an aggregator — something that will take all these different things that are on the network and convert them to the one that you wanted. Thus, he says, when InfoComm attendees get to the Matrox Video booth, they should ask for information about the Vion AVoIP gateway. The device lets you move from one codec to another, plus much more.
To learn all the details, watch the seven-minute video Q&A with Rob Moodey of Matrox Video below.
During the conversation, Moodey and Dan Ferrisi, group editor, commercial and security, Emerald, discuss all the following topics:
- Interactive demos and activations that Matrox Video will showcase at its InfoComm 2024 booth.
- Matrox Video’s metrics for success as it judges InfoComm 2024 and its value.
- The essential role that integrators play, serving as the conduit between leading vendors like Matrox Videos and the end users whose facilities deploy the technology.
- and much, much more!
