Shure is heading into InfoComm 2026 with real news for the integration community. In a pre-show Q&A, Dan Ferrisi, group director of content and editorial, industrial and tech, Emerald, sits down with Evan Groom, product manager, Microflex Advance with Shure, to preview what’s coming to Booth #C9018 at the Las Vegas trade show.

The headline for installers and integrators: Shure is expanding what its Microflex Advance lineup can do, with updates aimed squarely at solving for real-world room challenges.

InfoComm Launch: Why the Firmware Update for the MXA901 Matters

Groom details an important firmware update that, in effect, relaunches the company‘s MXA901 ceiling array microphone. The update exposes the eight lobes under the hood and lets you toggle in and get discrete outputs, one for each lobe. That opens the door to voice lift applications that the MXA901 couldn’t support at launch.

There’s also new flexibility on coverage. The fixed 20-foot-by-20-foot box becomes resizable, which matters for multi-MXA901 installs where minimizing overlap is key.

“We’re basically relaunching the product with a much more powerful suite of features that make it act more like an MXA920 would in a complex space,” Groom explains.

InfoComm Launch: What is Shure’s New Flagship, the MXA925?

Shure is also evolving its flagship MXA920 with a completely new product, the MXA925. It’s a new SKU and a direct replacement, built for the rooms that integrators actually work in.

The standout additions are three onboard AI-based DSP upgrades: Denoiser, Deverb and a major upgrade to acoustic echo cancellation. Because the AI AEC is pre-trained, Groom explains, “It just happens instantly.” For spaces without ideal acoustic treatment, that processing now lives on the device itself.
