What Did Riedel Announce?
Riedel Communications announced a leadership and global go-to-market restructure that takes effect Jan. 1, 2027. Lutz Rathmann becomes CEO of Riedel Communications, taking overall responsibility for the Product Division and Managed Technology Division. At the same time, Anthony Zuyderhoff becomes chief commercial officer, leading the company’s newly unified global go-to-market organization. Jan Eveleens, currently CEO of the Product Division, retires at the end of 2026 after a long career in the broadcast industry.
What Changes Under the New Structure?
The new structure brings the Product Division and Managed Technology Division into closer alignment, combining Riedel’s product development and live-production expertise. Both divisions keep their teams, expertise and market focus while collaborating more closely across the business. Riedel also connects its customer-facing sales, service, support and marketing functions under shared go-to-market leadership, enabling a more coordinated approach to customers and partners.
“Our customers do not think in terms of internal structures or individual responsibilities. They expect us to understand their challenges and bring the right capabilities together,” says Rathmann. “By aligning Product and Managed Technology more closely and strengthening how we connect with the market, we can turn our combined experience into greater value for customers and partners.”
Who Is Lutz Rathmann?
Lutz Rathmann is an experienced Riedel leader who now takes overall responsibility for both divisions. Before returning to lead Managed Technology in 2020, he held senior roles at Riedel including vice director of global events and head of project management. Since then, he has expanded the business, developed new opportunities and partnerships and advanced the solution portfolio for international event and live productions. Alongside Eveleens, he also drove closer collaboration between Managed Technology and the Product Division, laying the groundwork for uniting both areas under his leadership.
Who Is Anthony Zuyderhoff?
Anthony Zuyderhoff is Riedel’s current executive director of global sales, and he now leads the new go-to-market organization as chief commercial officer. He brings Riedel’s primary customer-facing functions under a shared direction, a setup designed to make collaboration more seamless, speed up decision-making and strengthen support across products and services.
“Our ambition is to make Riedel feel like one company at every customer touchpoint,” says Zuyderhoff. “That means connecting our commercial teams more closely, bringing the right expertise to the table earlier, and focusing less on individual products and more on the outcomes our customers want to achieve.”
Why Does This Matter for Commercial AV Integrators?
This matters for commercial AV integrators because a unified go-to-market organization should make Riedel simpler to engage with across products and services. Instead of navigating separate divisions, integrators can expect one coordinated point of contact for sales, service, support and marketing. That structure aims to bring the right expertise into projects earlier and shift the conversation toward outcomes rather than individual products, which can smooth how integrators spec and deliver Riedel technology on complex jobs.
What Does Riedel Group’s CEO Say?
Thomas Riedel, Riedel Group CEO, says the two appointments pair technical depth with commercial focus to create a more consistent customer experience. “Lutz knows our customers, our technologies, and the realities of complex live production,” says Riedel. “Anthony brings the commercial perspective and market focus needed to translate that strength into a consistent customer experience. Together, they will help us connect our capabilities more effectively and make Riedel easier to engage with, easier to understand, and stronger in the market. I also want to thank Jan for his tremendous contribution to Riedel and am very pleased that we will continue to benefit from his expertise as a consultant.”
When Do the Changes Take Effect?
The changes take effect Jan. 1, 2027, with Eveleens retiring at the end of 2026. He will continue to support the company as a consultant, keeping his broadcast-industry expertise available to Riedel through the transition.
