Pro AV trade organization AVIXA is acquiring Lightapalooza from HTSA and will co-locate the residential-focused lighting show with pro AV trade show InfoComm starting in 2027.

The move takes Lightapalooza, which is typically held in smaller venues and which took place in a suburb of Austin, Texas this year, to InfoComm events that are typically held in convention centers in Orlando or Las Vegas.

Lightapalooza, launched by HTSA in 2022, is focused on residential illumination, energy control and natural light optimization. The event was created to bring together custom integrators, lighting manufacturers, designers, architects, and other stakeholders for education, product demonstrations and networking.

Lightapalooza is still small as compared to other industry events, with 1,600 attendees this year. But residential lighting is a fast-growing category for integrators, with lighting taking on a larger role in smart homes and integrated technology systems.

AVIXA, established in 1939, represents more than 3,000 enterprise members globally and produces trade shows including InfoComm and Integrated Systems Europe (in partnership with CEDIA). HTSA is a member-owned trade consortium representing residential technology retailers and integrators across North America.
