With a multitude of education sessions to choose from at this year’s Commercial Integrator Expo (CIX24) Conference, we’ve rounded up the top education sessions presented by by the IMCCA that you don’t want to miss! Over the course of three days, from Wed., Sept. 4 through Fri., Sept. 6, participants will have the opportunity to learn about a range of topics to equip them for success.

AI in Collaboration Systems

Artificial Intelligence remains a hot topic in the industry, especially with advancements like machine learning, generative AI, and meeting summary engines enhancing collaboration systems. Tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini are revolutionizing documentation across various disciplines.

Kevin Kieller, co-founder and lead analyst at enableUC will lead an education session that will prepare  attendees to manage and interface with these technologies effectively. Comparing & Choosing Collaboration Platform

Kieller will lead an education session on the various UC&C platforms and platform types generally available today, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex and Google Workspace. Attendees will learn about the pros and cons of each platform, enabling them to make informed decisions for their organizations. Evolving Your Home Office to a Home Studio

While videoconferencing from home is adequate for most, some have realized that these technologies can also be used to create complex webcasts and presentations from home. Join Chris Neto, market development manager, Starin Marketing for a session exploring the nuances and considerations needed to be an at-home content creator. At this session, attendees will thus learn about selecting the right gear, webcasting and podcasting and social selling.

Making Hybrid Working Work

As the debate between return to office (RTO) and work from home (WFH) rages on, most employers and employees are seeking a balanced approach through hybrid working. This session, led by QSC’s Amelia Vrabel, will delve into achieving the ideal hybrid working model, emphasizing that it is an inclusive “and” rather than an exclusive “or.” Participants will learn about the necessary policies and procedures to implement this model, tips for managing a remote workforce, making appropriate technology choices and maintaining company culture. Additionally, the session will examine how the concept of “trust” has evolved in this context.
