What is AIMS planning for InfoComm 2026?
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) is returning to InfoComm 2026 scheduled for June 13-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, with a focus on educating the pro AV industry about IPMX.
AIMS plans to use the event to help engineers, integrators and end users better understand how to design and deploy IPMX-based AV-over-IP (AVoIP) systems. The organization describes education as a central part of broader IPMX adoption as the standard moves into real-world deployment.
Why is AIMS emphasizing IPMX education?
AIMS is emphasizing IPMX education to support successful adoption of the standard across the pro AV ecosystem. The organization says its InfoComm programming will focus on moving the industry from understanding IPMX in theory to applying it in practice.
“As IPMX moves into real-world deployment, education becomes essential to ensuring successful adoption across the pro AV ecosystem,” Andrew Starks, an AIMS board member and director of product management for Macnica, says. “At InfoComm, we’ll be focused on helping the industry move from understanding the standard to applying it in practice — through education sessions and a new training program that gives engineers, integrators, and end users the tools to design and deploy interoperable AVoIP ystems with confidence.”
What session will Andrew Starks present?
Andrew Starks will present “How IPMX Expands Live Production Beyond Broadcast” on Tuesday, June 16, from 1:30-2 p.m. in meeting room W232. AIMS says the session will examine how IPMX can support a new tier of live production for small and midsize organizations.
The presentation is expected to cover how those organizations can deploy AVoIP workflows with lower cost and complexity while maintaining a path to scale into broadcast infrastructure when needed.
What session will Samuel Recine co-present?
Samuel Recine will co-present “IP for Corporate Broadcast AV” on June 18 from 1:30-3 p.m. in room W231. Recine is an AIMS board member and vice president of global strategic partnerships at Matrox Video. He is also a Commercial Integrator AV Living Legend. Read more here.
According to AIMS, the session will provide an update on deploying high-performance media-over-IP across PC and IT systems, AV signaling and media production environments. Topics are set to include developments in open standards such as SMPTE ST 2110 and IPMX, along with strategies for bridging broadcast and corporate AV workflows.
What is the Official IPMX Training Series?
The Official IPMX Training Series is a free online program that AIMS plans to launch at InfoComm 2026. The organization says the program is designed to help the pro AV community understand, design, configure and deploy IPMX-based AVoIP systems.
AIMS says the training series will follow a three-level curriculum covering foundations, systems design and advanced networking concepts including PTP and SMPTE ST 2110. The group describes it as a practical learning path for engineers and integrators building AVoIP infrastructure.
What will AIMS demonstrate in booth C7487?
AIMS will demonstrate IPMX-certified products and tools in booth C7487. The live demonstrations are intended to show how IPMX supports integration across AV systems while addressing both pro AV and broadcast requirements.
The booth activity adds a hands-on component to the group’s education effort at the show, alongside the conference sessions and the launch of its training program.
