Who is Seth Warner joining and in what role?
Seth Warner is joining PlexusAV as US sales manager. The company announced the appointment May 15 and says Warner will be based just outside Cleveland, Ohio.
PlexusAV is the professional AV division of Sencore and focuses on AV-over-IP (AVoIP) solutions. Warner’s appointment adds to the company’s US commercial team at a time when standards-based AV and IPMX continue to gain attention across the market.
Why does PlexusAV say this hire matters?
PlexusAV says the hire supports its effort to strengthen its US sales presence. Steven Cogels, global director of business development at PlexusAV, says, “Strengthening our sales team in the US is a key priority.”
Warner brings experience across AV, healthcare technology and public service, along with a relationship-led sales style. Warner’s mix of technical and interpersonal skills aligns with the company’s values and growth plans.
What does Warner say about open standards and IPMX?
Warner says open standards and interoperability are central to where the AV industry is headed. “IPMX is about shifting mindsets toward open architecture and more flexible, scalable systems,” he says. “For integrators, that means greater design freedom. For end users, it means less vendor lock-in. And for enterprise teams, it allows AV to operate more like IT, which is where the industry is heading.”
He also says his sales approach centers on building relationships, asking better questions and helping customers work through complexity with confidence.
What experience does Warner bring to the role?
Warner brings a background that spans military service, law enforcement, AV and healthcare technology. PlexusAV says he served six years in the US Air Force and five years in law enforcement before spending the past decade in the AV industry.
The company also notes that Warner has experience implementing EHR and EMR systems in hospitals, giving him a strong understanding of complex, mission-critical environments and customer needs.
