Between cleaning up after other less-talented technicians, dealing with last-minute changes to designs, tech installers have had to deal with some frustrating and downright mundane things this year. But did they ever feel scared while on the job site? That’s the question we’re posing once again this year for a new edition of “Scary AV Installer Stories from the Field.”

We all have moments that scare us at our jobs. But what about AV installers? What freaks them out on the job site?

Previously, we set out to find out, and the results were VERY entertaining and, often, rather shocking.

A taste of previous year’s article:

Most of our previous replies had to do with taking a spill of some kind (or almost doing so). We’re genuinely glad to hear that, in most of these situations, everyone came out alright… or, at least, alive.

Take this poor (and lucky) soul’s experience as an example:

Others report strange sightings of the unexplained and, possibly, supernatural. This example stuck out from the rest; fact or fiction? You decide:

We’re hoping you’ll share some of your frightening experiences from the job site, whether they’re lighthearted riffs on rude customers, or serious close calls. We’ll assemble these replies into a new story that we’ll publish at the end of the month near Halloween.

So, did you experience anything downright frightening on the job this past year? An unruly customer? A close-call with something electrified? Email me your scary stories from the field or put them in the comments on our Facebook or LinkedIn page by October 23rd to be included!
