Panasonic Projector & Display Americas is redesigning its DVLED lineup around one goal: making installation faster and less complicated, without sacrificing the performance integrators expect from a high-end display system.

Rudy Vitti, group manager of product marketing at Panasonic Projector and Display Americas, outlined the company’s approach in a Q&A with Commercial Integrator.

Commercial Integrator: As DVLED adoption grows, what’s Panasonic doing to help integrators cut down on installation complexity and infrastructure requirements?

Rudy Vitti: At Panasonic, we have a long history in display technology, from plasma to projectors and professional displays. One of our main priorities has been making display solutions easier to work with, especially in DVLED, where installation often involves many moving parts, including cabinets, cabling and modules. Our approach has been to apply our expertise in image processing and system design to simplify that process and, just as importantly, make installation faster. That thinking has shaped our entire DVLED lineup.

Commercial Integrator: Panasonic has the new All in One DVLED AD series. It definitely seems to reflect the thinking on that. Can you walk us through what Panasonic wanted to solve with this product line?

Vitti: With our All-in-one AD Series, we are introducing two sizes: 137-inch and 165-inch. The goal is to make installation as straightforward as a large LCD display, which is a format most integrators already know well.

To support that, much of the product arrives preassembled. Even the ordering process is simplified: the AD Series is sold as a single SKU. For integrators, that means one order includes everything needed for installation, including the modules, cabinets, cabling, controller, and power box.

We have also worked to deliver the system as preassembled and precalibrated as possible. As a result, an installation that may once have taken a full day can now be completed in just a couple of hours. The focus is simple: reduce installation time and make the process easier for integrators and their customers.

Commercial Integrator: Let’s talk about the MEVIX TL55LV12A DvLED Wall. What inspired its design, especially for customers replacing LCD videowalls?

Vitti: This is a unique product because it brings LED technology into a form factor familiar to users of traditional LCD videowall displays. The goal was to simplify deployment by building the key components directly into the display, so there is no need for an external controller.

The system arrives preassembled, so installation is straightforward: connect the signal and power, and it works much like a 55-inch display. Because it also includes a VESA mounting pattern on the back, integrators can often use existing mounting infrastructure rather than invest in an entirely new system. Optional mounts are available, but the focus is on flexibility and simplicity. Everything needed is built in, making the experience much closer to installing a 55-inch LCD display.

Commercial Integrator: Interoperability and scalability have become much bigger priorities lately.
How is the company building for the future when it comes to DVLED?

Vitti: This reflects Panasonic’s broader expertise in display technology. With the AD Series specifically, one of the key decisions was to integrate SDM technology, an open standard developed by Intel. That integration helps extend the display’s role within a larger AV ecosystem. It supports capabilities such as AV-over-IP and makes it easier to connect the display into broader system environments. SDM also adds flexibility from a playback and content standpoint, allowing media players and other content devices to be installed directly into the display. The result is a solution designed to integrate more easily and more naturally into modern AV environments.

Commercial Integrator: What Will Panasonic Show at InfoComm 2026?

Vitti: We’re looking forward to InfoComm and to showcasing the breadth of Panasonic’s display portfolio. At the show, we’ll feature our All-in-One Direct View LED Display AD Series, along with the PT-HTQ20 RGB Laser Project, which covers 95% of the Rec. 2020 color space and uses our newly developed Vivid Prime laser light source technology.

We’ll also highlight the VMQ85 Series 4K LCD projectors, as well as end-to-end workflow solutions, including updates to our visual software suite and remote managed service offerings. In addition, following our recent acquisition of Hive Media Control Ltd., we’ll be featuring media servers and media players as part of the lineup.
