What Did Bogen Communications Release?
Bogen Communications released Nyquist Version 11.0, its latest software update for commercial audio and voice communications systems. The update introduces expanded SIP interoperability, enhanced system monitoring, additional device support and expanded automation capabilities.
“Nyquist Version 11.0 echoes our focus on improving interoperability, system reliability and ease of deployment for our customers,” says Randall Lee, vice president of marketing and product management at Bogen Communications. “The enhancements in Version 11.0 are designed to expand integration capabilities and messaging channels, strengthen system monitoring and simplify installation across a wide range of applications.”
Which New Devices Does Nyquist 11.0 Support?
Nyquist Version 11.0 supports the latest Nyquist peripherals for paging, intercom and messaging applications. The new device support includes the NQ-DSC01 VoIP Double-Sided LED Message Display and Flasher, the NQ-VCTRL Digital Remote Volume Control Call Switch, the NQ-IPHRN01 Indoor/Outdoor IP Horn with Talkback and the NQ-ZPMS-G2 Zone Paging Microphone Station. The release also enables video calling between NQ-ZPMS-G2 devices, expanding options for facilities that need more interactive paging and intercom workflows.
How Does Version 11.0 Expand SIP Interoperability?
Nyquist Version 11.0 expands SIP interoperability with support for RingCentral, Twilio and Zoom SIP calls. That support connects Nyquist with widely used unified communications platforms. The update also improves call security by enabling Secure SIP with TLS 1.2 and SRTP for PBXi SIP trunks. In addition, Version 11.0 adds support for multiple incoming SIP trunks from the same PBXi, giving integrators more flexibility in complex communication environments.
What System Monitoring Features Are New?
Nyquist Version 11.0 adds Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology, known as SMART, for SSD drives on the NQ-SYSCTRL. As a result, system health issues can now report directly to syslog and appear within Check Server Status. That change improves visibility into System Controller hardware performance and helps administrators identify potential issues before they affect operations.
What Changed in the Routines API?
Nyquist Version 11.0 expands automation through enhancements to the Routines API, which lets users build automation routines that launch procedures or sequences of actions in response to defined trigger events. Those triggers include integrations with third-party applications. The Routines API license is now enabled by default, which simplifies deployment and access to automation features. Routines API v2 also introduces support for incoming CAP messages, enabling broader emergency notification and alert workflows.
