Lowell Manufacturing In-Wall Boxes

Integrators need to be able to house and sometimes hide equipment in all sorts of commercial environments, and Lowell gives them the means to do so by continuing to expand its rack options. The company showed its versatile new In-Wall Boxes and In-Wall Boxes with breakaway, both of which mount between standard 16-inch studs (the breakaway version doesn’t have as many modules inside but breakaway side walls can accommodate shallower depths if needed). Features include rear mounting holes enabling horizontal or vertical configuration of AV, data or telecom modules; elevated panels that can be moved, removed or reversed to mount upside down; multiple laser knockouts for cable bundles and electrical boxes; rear anchors for cable tie-off; and white trim plate. “You attach it to the studs and it sits inside the wall, so your digital screen is in front of it,” says Lowell’s Kathy Lane, noting applications such as digital signage. “Here’s all your wiring, it has removeable modules so can fit different things inside, and it comes with an optional cover that’s galvanized steel with a white trim plate.”
