Lowell Manufacturing Quick Connect Pass-Through
Lowell’s new series gives integrators “building blocks” for integrated system control featuring pass-through RJ45 jacks to use with Cat 5/6 cable for quick connections to the sequencing, remote power and relays. Sequencing from individual remote power controls or relays involves installation-friendly single home run with direct-connect RPC-to-RPC (or RPC-to-relay module) in any combination, with the SEQ-P4 sequencer triggered by a variety of external devices. Up to 20 RPCs can be connected per sequence step. “Each one of these has a little DIP switch on it, and that has step 1-4 on it. So what that means is you’re actually selecting the sequence on the unit … if I had this unit to start on step 4 and I decide, oh no I want to change it to 2, I don’t have to rewire it – I just go here and I flip that little switch,” explains Lowell’s Kathy Lane. “It used to be where all that’s wired to the sequencer itself, but now you’re just making that decision at the remote control point. So it basically saves a lot of time if I want to change my mind, or I want to add something else in between it you just pop this out, reconnect it, change your SEQ [sequencer] and you’re done. It’s all about fast install and easy scalability.”
