Elite ProAV CLR Screens
The division of Elite Screens was showing its Starbright “ceiling light rejecting” (CLR) screen material used for a variety of screens, said to reject up to 95% of overhead ambient lighting to enable viewing under poor lighting conditions. Besides the general lighting in the Orange County Convention Center, Elite ProAV added its own flood lights right by the Saker DarkStar 9, Aeon, Saker Tab-Tension for UST projectors and Kestrel Free-Standing Electric CLR screens to show the CLR properties. “If you look carefully [at the material] you see the striations, these are angular ceraform microstructures. Any overhead light hitting it is either being absorbed or it’s being directed away from your line of sight,” says Elite marketing manager David Rodgers, who showed a piece of the material held one way, then inverting it and the huge difference created.
