Given the amount of travel involved in sales, salespeople rely on applications like Waze and Google Maps to find clients’ workplaces and meeting spaces.
They also rely on note taking and collaboration tools such as Evernote and Dropbox, according to CI research.
“[Because] I’m in sales/marketing, I have a lot of apps I use regularly. Evernote and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc) give me the ability to take and store notes anywhere, from my phone, tablet or lappy. They also give me the flexibility to work on the road and create/edit/review/share documents from the cloud,” said Dawne Meade of Net-AV in the CI survey.
Staying in contact with customers and potential clients as much as possible is also important to salespeople.

Email tools such as Gmail and Outlook are popular mobile applications used daily by salespeople to stay in contact with customers and maintain communication.
