We won’t know for months whether the Auburn University Tigers are in the mix for this year’s college football championship.
But, before they even play a game at home this season, one of Alabama’s favorite teams has already set a college football record—with some help from Daktronics. The Tigers will debut the largest LED video display Saturday when they host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn students got a sneak peek at the 10,800-square-foot display last week, when they were allowed to watch South Carolina square off with North Carolina on the big board, but won’t feel the full effects until this weekend’s home opener.
A local reporter tweeted that the 10,800-square-foot video board can be seen from eight miles away.
