In this edition of CI 3 Questions, Mike Kilian, VP of client relations at Mvix provides us with context for why integrators should partner with white label signage & CMS solutions providers.
Commercial Integrator: what advantage does a CMS provider like Mvix bring to integrators?
Mike Kilian: Many integration firms tend to have lots of AV software experience, but that isn’t necessarily in line with a propensity to work with cloud-based content delivery solutions. A CMS vendor like us has a unique value proposition to white label.
CI: what are the pros and cons of white label digital signage software from another vendor as opposed to integrators building out their own platform?
MK: The branding component: integrators can use a CMS to put their own branding and logo on it. The back end components don’t have to be handled in-house. It’s a streamlined operation where we offer support.
CI: what should integrators seeking a white label solution look for to ensure they have the right partner?
MK: Longevity – you want a CMS that’s been on the market for a long time. A vendor that’s deployed in multiple verticals.
Pick a vendor whose apps and connectors is directly compatible with your client base. If your clients have a massive call for XYZ Software, keep that in mind.
Choose one where the branding is consistent and easy to access.
Support – your brand is important. We try to get an understanding of the brands we partner with and how they individually go to market. That allows us to serve their clients better, too.
