InfoComm has become one of the biggest trade shows for AV integrators, consultants, end users, distributors and manufacturers. And the show, as a reflection of the industry, only continues to grow.
After a record 39,105 attendee show in 2015 at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center, InfoComm set it’s sights on the exhibitor record this year. While attendance stayed strong at 38,833 attendees, the Las Vegas Convention Center saw a record 1,000 exhibitors from June 4-10 to learn about the latest pro-AV products and trends.
211 exhibitors and more than 35 percent of attendees were visiting InfoComm for the first time.
Aside from record-breaking exhibitors, this year’s show saw a new Internet of Things Education Program, a Digital Signage Summit and more than 90 InfoComm University seminars and workshops.
InfoComm also continues to grow as a critical venue for professional development and certification. A record 252 attendees registered to take a Certified Technology Specialist exam during InfoComm 2016 and 186 received their certification. Certified professionals earned more than 30,000 renewal units toward maintaining their CTS credentials through continuing education.
