MSE Audio’s SolidDrive Adds Sound Masking Products to Line

SolidDrive has introduced a line of products designed for sound masking applications, including MSK-1.

The MSE Audio brand SolidDrive recently announced several new products to address a number of sound masking applications. SolidDrive’s new MSK-1, MSK-1G and MSK-1SM can be used by integrators to convert hard surfaces such as drywall, glass, wood and stone into speakers.

Using these products, the company explains, allows integrators to hide sound masking in rooms where traditional products don’t work.

SolidDrive states the MSK-1, MSK-1G and MSK-1SM products’ planar-source technologies are engineered to evenly distribute sound masking signals throughout listening spaces. Each of the new SolidDrive sound masking products provide broad and even coverage up to 15 feet within drywall installations.

SolidDrive 70v Sound Masking Solutions

In addition to the introduction of the MSK-1, MSK-1G and MSK-1SM  sound-masking products, SolidDrive has also announced its MSK-1-T, MSK-1G-T and MSK-1SM-T 70-volt products.

SolidDrive says the 70-volt products provide integrators a choice of products to integrate into 70-volt audio systems.

All of the products are made in the U.S.A., and they all operate in a virtually friction-free environment. Built for years of service, SolidDrive backs the sound-masking products with seven-year warranties.

SolidDrive adds, the MSK-1, MSK-1G and MSK-1SM are UL 1480 and UL 2043 listed, and it says the transformer versions are in the midst of UL certification testing.

From SolidDrive’s press release:

SoundTube’s sister company SolidDrive has introduced a line of products designed for sound masking applications. The MSK-1, MSK-1G and MSK-1SM are used to convert hard surfaces such as drywall, glass or wood into speakers, enabling hidden sound masking in rooms where traditional sound masking speakers don’t work.

The units’ planar-source technology evenly distributes sound masking signals throughout the listening space; each unit provides broad and even coverage of up to 15 feet in a drywall installation.

SolidDrive is also introducing transformer versions, the MSK-1-T, MSK-1G-T, and MSK-1SM-T for use in distributed 70V sound masking systems.

Made in the USA, SolidDrive units operate in a virtually friction-free environment and are engineered for long life; units come with a 7-year factory warranty. SolidDrive products are available in the commercial AV industry via SoundTube representatives, dealers and distributors.

UL 1480 and UL2043 listings are pending for all models.
