Harbinger VaRi Speakers are Reasonably Priced & Portable

Published: 2014-05-19

Bands like the Grateful Dead, Iron Maiden and Motorhead are well known for their expansive sound systems that let fans hear their music from any seat in the house without a problem.

The Skinny: Realistically it’s not possible to stuff megawatt sound systems like Motorhead’s into corporate environments, bars or school cafeterias, but there are many affordable PA solutions that perform the same job with slightly less volume levels. A good example is the newly announced VaRi line of products from Harbinger Pro Audio

The Specs: The VaRi line includes the V2115 and the V2112 powered speakers that incorporate a 15-inch and 12-inch speaker each respectively, and both products utilize 600-watt Class D amplifiers.

The Thousand Oaks, Calif.-based manufacturer also points out that the speakers feature integrated, three-channel mixers with auxiliary inputs and XLR balanced line outputs to facilitate the speakers’ integration into larger systems, as well as on-board limiters and two-band EQs for added levels of install customization.

FEATURED REPORT

“Our customers have been asking for a flexible, affordable and easy-to-use powered loudspeaker, and the new VaRi Series is the answer,” notes Jim Norman, Harbinger product manager. “These speakers are perfect for small- and medium-sized gigs, rehearsal studios, DJs and spoken-word presentations. They are truly the most versatile and affordable powered loudspeakers Harbinger has ever created.”

Facilitating the speakers’ portability, Harbinger incorporates integrated handles and 1-3/8-inch stand mounts to enable dealers to deploy the products as main PA and monitor solutions.

Solutions: The VaRi Series of powered speakers can be used in concerts, bars, and other venues where sound reinforcement is needed.
