ATM Cooling Switches Add Automatic Temp Control to Racks

Published: 2014-10-08

Valencia, Calif.-based Active Thermal Management (ATM) offers a complete line of rack-cooling solutions for residential and commercial electronics installations.

Adding to its line of fans, speed controls, grilles, bezels and other devices, the company has announced two new thermal switches. ATM CEO Frank Federman explains the newly announced products were designed to add automatic temperature control to racks that are already outfitted with fans, but no thermal controls.

The first of the two models is a rack-mount component (part number 03-124—01) that is 1U high. The second unit is a free-standing solution (part number 03-123-01) that offers a small footprint of 5.5-inch x 4.25-inch x 2-inches. Both models incorporate large digital temperature displays and remote thermal sensors.
