Barco is an international manufacturer of video and presentation products, one of the most popular in the world of commercial A/V.
The Skinny: Recently, Barco augmented its product line through the introduction of the versatile F50 projector.
The Specs: Barco says the F50 is a single-chip DLP projector that combines native WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) and Panorama (2,560 x 1,080) with active 3D stereo, and the ability to handle high-frame rates. The 120Hz projector incorporates TI’s DLP DarkChip3 chip set, and the ability to deliver more than 5,000 lumens of brightness.
The 16:10 aspect-ratio product offers up to 2,000 hours of lamp life, and it provides a choice of two DisplayPort 1.2 inputs, one DVI-Dual Link input, one HDMI input, one VGA input, two 3G-SDI inputs, and one HDBaseT input that transmits video signals over long distances.
In addition, the product incorporates RS-232, IR and Ethernet control capabilities, and the RealColor color management system. Barco also supports the projector with several options such as expansion modules, and a choice of lenses.
Solutions: Barco says that dealers can use the F50 for virtual reality, simulation and training, visitor attraction, collaboration and scientific visualization installations.
